Description: An inter-school debate competition that was held on 28th July in Dyal Singh School. Our four students from classes 9, 10, and 12 participated in the debate competition and outshone their competitors. They debated on the topic:
TOURISM IS GOOD OR BAD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT,
which is a very relevant and important issue in today’s World
The four participants were:
Kaashvi Jain from class 12 D, who spoke against the topic and secured the second position as a speaker. She presented some compelling arguments and facts that challenged the opposing views and convinced the judges and the audience.
Adriza Bhatacharya from class 12 B, who spoke in favor of the topic and secured the third position as a speaker. She used some powerful statistics and quotes that supported her views and appealed to the emotions and values of the listeners.
Palak Panwar from class 10 D, who was an interjector and secured the third position as well. She showed great skills and confidence in interrupting and questioning the speakers and making them rethink their positions.
Tanvi Dhounchak from class 9 A, who was also an interjector and secured the first position. She was brilliant and witty in pointing out the flaws and weaknesses of the speakers and making them lose their ground.
They all received certificates and mementos for their achievement.
They have made us all proud with their skills and talents. They have shown us that we can achieve anything if we work hard and believe in ourselves.
